Happy Thanksgiving to everyone,
We had a lovely Thanksgiving with much to be thankful for. Emma had her 3rd birthday on the 13th on November. Pink and Horsey themed. She got a "Leap Frog", from Grandpa and Grandma Harvey, a very cute outfit from Auntie Sara and Uncle William, a Breyer horse from Ms. Yates and Dennis, a couple outfits form Grandpa and Grandma Web.,a gift card to Target from Uncle Kev., Auntie Lara, Elle, and Hans, a baby doll set and pink My Little Pony from Gma Connie and Papa Dan, a book form Gma Cheryl and Papa Deb, and from mom, dad, and sis she got a horse trailer, a truck to pull it with, and chaps. She got to go and ride Sophie on her birthday, and it was so cute because she had to wear her chaps. The pictures show the rest of her excitement, so I will let them speak for themselves.
The Thursday before Emma's birthday party, we had our trees in our front yard scheduled to be taken out, stumps drilled and everything. Well they came and fell the first tree, they were from our understanding going to lim the other three trees and take them down in chunks given the close proximity to the house. Well Matt and my dad ran over to our friends house for just a minute and I said, "It looks like they are going to take the second one all at once as well, why don't you take the girls with you and I will stay here and record it". I thought for sure that it was going to hit the house and if it had it would have gone right into the girl's room. So I am watching and I realize that they had not finished liming the tree and he was trying to fall this thing between our house and a phone line. Well one of the branches caught the phone line and so he "fixed" it and I don't know if he knew at the time if I was there or even if I recorded it but I was and I am glade because not a few min.'s after he finished "fixing" the line the other guy came knocking at our door and said, "Well we are done". I am thinking, "um no your not". The guy who got lazy apparently got scared of what he had done and just up and left. We were told that the boss would be calling us to set up a time to come a finish the job, still have not heard anything, and we still have two trees up and winter that we were expecting.
Matt had is annual hunting trip this year over Thanksgiving, but we were able to have him home in time for dinner. He did get his buck this year and we are very thankful for that. But more so we are thankful that we got him and my dad home safely for the holiday.
While they were gone, we had our fist blizzard. It was not our first snow fall but this one was significant, and we have had much more snow since. Not to mention negative temperatures that have required me to get up early to make sure the fire is going before the girls get up.
All in all things have been great. We are enjoying being home as a family and watching the snow fall while being comforted by our warm fire, hot chocolate, and each others company.
In His Love,
Anna,
Thank you to Sara Bedient, for taking Emma's birthday pictures so that I could be a part of the memories.
