Our Charlie boy.
Today our beautiful, energetic, loving, and ever so sweet Charlie tragically past away. Charlie was our Border Collie mix pup that we got after our Buster boy past away this past August. He came into our lives September 25, 2009 and today we lost him. We left him at my parents house because we are in Vancouver for Matt's work for about a week. On the way here my mom called me and said, "umm, we have some bad news, Charlie got hit by a car". My heart sank, my stomach turned, and I began to cry. Our poor little Char Char. He has not been around cars all that much and at our house we have a fenced back yard. My dad was getting the rope to tie him up when there was a knock at the door and it was their neighbor saying that his wife had hit Charlie. I want to let them know that its no one's fault, that things like this just happen, especially in the country. My dad, bless his heart went and got him off of the road and buried him next to the to three dogs that I grew up with.
Charlie was loved by all that met him, even though he was a little "active" he was full of love and wanted you to know it. He and Emma would roll around the floor at night and that is one of the last memories we have of him. And I am thankful of that. He was always very genital with her, and she loved him. I told her today that when we get home that Charlie would not be there that he went to be with Buster boy, she told me, "Mama, Charlie... fine". That pulled at my heart strings. Charlie was loved very much, and will always be remembered. We love you Charlie boy, you were a wonderful dog, and I am so very sorry that we couldn't have more time with you to see all of what you could have been. Many will say that he was just a dog, this is true, but he was our dog and part of the family.
